I am proud of this picture- everyone is looking, all eyes are open, smiles all around and most importantly- unlike a stock image photo- it was the most genuine time. I am so excited about this group of 6th grade girls that I have the privilege of being a small group leader for. They have come so far as a group and, 2 of the girls accepted Jesus in their hearts this year!
One of my roommates ( the one taking the picture) also leads this group with me and, we love hosting anyone at our apartment any chance we get- especially these wild ones!
similarly to November’s “Friendsgiving” , we celebrate any chance we have over here! "Galentines” is a valentines celebration but- for the girls! I took this oppertunity to host my 9th grade guide class girls over at my house. It was so fun! We ate, laughed, danced, and encouraged each other as well as heard from a panel of married women about what Godly relationships contain and what they are designed to be. I will definitely be hosting these girls at my apartment again :)
I had the absolute privilege of speaking at Friday chapel to our Middle and High schoolers in January, to share my testimony with them all during a semester of testimonies for Chapel that we are currently in. When asked to share my story I was nervous but, I also felt confident that this was something God was calling me to do. I prayed about what specifically in my story to share and feeling surprised about certain aspects that I felt he wanted me to share. After sharing, I was approached by students who thanked me for my vulnerability and, who shared with me that they have similar experiences to the ones I felt God pushing me to share. This was definitely a highlight for me this semester and, I was in awe of how God moved.
